La ditta EGI S.r.l. ha iniziato a produrre terminali a compressione (capicorda) nel 1973 e da quella data è iniziata una crescita lenta ma costante che l’ha portata a vendere i suoi prodotti in tutti i Paesi del mondo, e per quanto concerne l’Italia annovera tra i suoi clienti ENEL, Ferrovie dello Stato, AEM, ABB, e le più importanti aziende che operano nel settore.
La gamma dei suoi terminali è la più completa in assoluto e non vi è terminale a compressione che non possa essere realizzato in tempi brevi e con costi contenuti per sezioni che vanno da 0,25 a 1000 mm2. Questo perché tutto il processo: studio, realizzazione stampi e produzione viene realizzato all’interno dell’azienda stessa.
Per la realizzazione dei prodotti viene utilizzato prevalentemente rame ETP. 99,9 che permette una migliore conducibilità. Il trattamento protettivo è ottenuto con stagnatura elettrolitica con spessori medi di 6-7 micron. Il rivestimento isolante è ottenuto con speciale pvc autoestinguente.
Dal 1993 ha ottenuto la Certificazione dei Sistemi Qualità delle Aziende CSQ-UNI ISO 9001:2000 (Cert. n. 9105. EGI 1) e approvazioni di conformità norme UL e CSA per terminali, connettori e capicorda innesto rapido. EGI S.r.l. began producing Lugs and terminals in 1973 and from that time production has increased gradually until at present EGI supplies products all over the world, and in Italy supplies ENEL, Ferrovie dello stato, AEM, ABB and the more important companies operating in the electrical sector. The range is the most complete available, and GI can also supply special requirements in a short lead time, at competitive prices. The range is from  0,25mm(2) to 1000mm(2). This can be achieved because the complete process from drawings to production is all performed "in house".

Copper (ETP99.9) for better conductivity is used for production, protected by electrolytically treated tin (average thickness 6-7 micron). The insulation is obtained with a special self extinguishing PVC. EGI received the certification of quality CSQ in 1993 UNI ISO 9001:2000 (cert no. 9105, EGI.I) and also UL and CSA approvals for terminals, end connectors and rapid connectors.
